Where Does He Get These Things?

Tonight we went to Market Street for a nice evening walk and as we were leaving in the truck, he sees HEB and asks, "Go to AEB?" So I say, "No, not today." He then says, "Go to Malmart (Walmart)?" I laugh and say, "No." So then he continues and asks, "Go to Kroger?" Ross and I both start laughing!

Was it by some random chance that he knew those were all grocery stores? I don't know. What I do know is that he has never been to Kroger, except for maybe once or twice a long time ago with his gma, but too long ago for him to remember.

Where does he get these things? :)

Our Day!

Today we had some fun at the pool with my old friend Rebekah! It has been too long since we have hung out, and so, since I have a vehicle this wk due to the fact that Ross is at Camp, I decided to give her a call! It was great catching up while soaking in some rays (I could lay out all day)! While there I grabbed a few shots of Eden and here they are! Enjoy! :)

Remington has not been too cooperative lately with taking pictures, so hopefully he will get over that soon!

For Those of You Who Only Check My Blog For Pictures!

Weekend Family Fun!

This wkend we got to spend a lot of relaxing, quality time with family (Ross' side). On Friday, Ross' mom Sue was gracious enough to invite us over to spend the night because Ross was going to be gone most of the night at a concert. She is always thinking of me and my sanity after staying home with the kids all wk while Ross works, so come the wkend, if he is going to be gone doing gigs, she usually will try to spend some time with us so I can have some kind of company and a break from the usual craziness we call Remington. Its so nice going over to their place so he can run around and play and not bug me all day to play with him. Long story short, great break for me! Thanks Gma Sue!

So Saturday, my sis in-law Terra, her hubs Beau, and our nephew Branson came over for a day at the pool. It was really a nice day to spend outside, not to uber hot or humid! So later into the evening we were able to bring the babies out so, of course, I had to take a couple pics! Branson is SOO big. He was born 6 wks after Eden and already weighs more than her. We took a pic ofthem together and Eden is longer and has a bigger head, but other than that, Branson trumps her! Its so funny because just 5 wks ago we took a similar pic and Eden was soo much bigger. Here is the comparison...

Mothers day, Eden 7 wks old, Branson 5 days old

5 wks later...

SO... Ya he is a little Sumo wrestler as Terra calls him, but so cute! Eden looks like she is bigger than she is just when you look at her face because of her cute chubby cheeks, but the rest of her body is just so long and lean... so atleast I wont have to be lugging around a heavy baby anytime soon!

Besides the fact that Ross was feeling a little under the weather, it was overall a great wkend. Today after church we really just relaxed while the babies napped. It was nice to get Ross to relax for a wkend... he definately needed and deserved it!

Here are some of the pics I took this wkend! (not too many of Remington because he was not cooperating)

Sunday Funday!

Sunday was a really long amazing day! I was up at 5 am (feeding Eden) then got myself ready and Ross up by 5 30 so we could leave by 6 to head to College Station. Ross had planned on playing at our old church (Grace Bible) so we had to be there by 7 30. So we went to church, and it was almost like we had never left. Ross jumped right in with the band and I to the nursery with the kids. It was so great catching up with friends we had not seen in a while. Ross and I went to the first service which was an amazing reminder of why we really love it there at Grace. Brian just has a way of speaking to us on such a deep spiritual level that we cannot find anywhere else. During the second service I volunteered in the nursery where I was able to catch up with some friends and play with some babies. Great FUN! After church we were invited over for lunch and fellowship at the worship leader Tim's house. We had a great time over there and Tim and his wife were so welcoming. Great food and conversation. Next we were off to our friend Josh's house where we got to meet his new baby girl June (6 wks old). We went out for a great dinner at Fish Daddy's, one of mine and Ross' favorite spots, with Josh, Whitney, June, Justin, and his wife Angela. (Thanks for dinner Josh!) We all connect and get along so well and its nice that Josh and Whitney decided to join the club and have a baby so we have even more in common now. Wanna join Justin and Angela ;)? Over all it was a great day, and it goes without saying that we really hope/pray that CS is where God has us sometime in the near future!

Eden got her ears pierced!

Today my MeeMaw took us to get Eden's ears pierced. I had been wanting to do it sometime before she turns 4 months old, before she started learning how to play with her ears and stuff, so when we got to talking about how my neice kyleigh got hers pierced, I mentioned that I wanted to get Eden's done as well. Well one thing led to another and she was taking us to get her ears pierced! I was so excited to do it but a little nervous about how she was going to handle the experience. When they did it, (both at the same time fortunately) she screamed so loud, but after a few minutes she calmed down and took a bottle and after that she was fine. We put her in her carseat and she was good to go, smiling and all! Later we went to one of Ross' dads gigs (Ross plays too) and she was great the whole time we were there. If my arm or something would press on her ear, she acted like she didnt feel a thing. She went to bed easily when we got home so I honestly dont think they are sore for her or anything. I am very glad I decided to do it this young because it will be easy for me to keep them clean without a fuss and I dont have to worry about her getting them infected or ripping them out of her ears. She looks so beautiful! :)

Eden's 2 Month Check-up

Yesterday I took Eden to her 2 month check up. A little behind schedule I might add, but only 2 wks so no biggy! She weighed in at 9 lbs 12 oz and was 24 inches long, so that makes her only in the 15% range for her weight but my long baby is in the 75% range for her height. Its so funny because when you look at her, she looks a lot bigger than she really is because of her cute puffy cheeks, but she is actually really long and lean.

She also got her vaccinations which were not fun, but had to be done. Poor baby screamed soooo loud. It was a shrieky bloody murder scream that only a little girl could scream. I felt so bad for her, but she slept ALLL DAY to recover. She went to sleep when we got home at 9:30 and slept until 1, then she went back to sleep around 3 or a little before and slept until I woke her up at 5:30 so we could go to grandma Sue and Granddaddys house. Then she basically went back to sleep around 8:30 like nothing! I was tempted to wake her several times, but I followed the "never wake a sleeping baby" rule. Remington was always so resiliant with his shots or any injuries. Nothing ever effected him! When he got his stitches a few months ago, as soon as they were done, he went on with normal life like nothing had happened. Didnt even sleep longer than usual.

Besides looking alike, I dont know how these babies are alike. Its amazing they came from the same parents. Who knows, maybe as Eden grows we will find some similarities in their personalities.
